So far, class's key points are as follows.
When technologies connect or separate people, they become media. And, technologies embody social, political, cultural, economic and philosophical ideas and relationships, When a medium is new, it is often used to simulate old media. Finally, new media do not replace old media, they displace them.
This week's key point was that people make media and then media make people.
First, we learned about tim berners-lee. He is founder of WWW(World Wide Web). Then, what is WWW? WWW is a collaboratively authored hypertext and a standard and a vast, heterogeneous network of people and machines.
Secondly, we learned about ISO, IETF, RFC, html, http. ISO is short for international standards organization. And IETF is internet engineering task force. RFC is short for request for comments. html(hypertext markup language) is derived from sgml (standard generalize markup language). http(hypertext transfer protocol) is an internet protocol designed for transferring information for hypertext documents.
And, we do mini project. It was interested.
